Dragon Playing Cards
For this project, I wanted to explore a different avenue of possible product design. I've always been a collector of Theory 11 Playing cards, inspired by the design and theming of their decks. As such, this project is my own exploration of a themed deck.

One of my favorite parts of this project was designing the box covers. An element I noticed in pre-existing boxes was that they were often very detailed, cluttered yet readable. I strived to reach a busy yet cohesive design that also conveyed the theme of the cards and integrated type into the design itself.
One of the most difficult aspects, on the other hand, was designing fun and unique card designs that conveyed the aesthetic of the card (King, Queen, Joker) while also being mirrored. Mirroring designs I find is always iffy; it either works or it doesn't.

For this reason, I created multiple thumbnails to try and land on designs that were both cohesive with the theme and also worked mirrored.
